DKIM configuration
Setting Up DKIM Key
When you send emails from our SMTP servers, they are automatically signed with a DKIM signature using servermx.com keys. You don't need to configure any DNS values or generate any keys yourself.
If you want to use a custom DKIM key for your domain, follow these steps:
-
Log in to your reserved area and click on the link "Manage domains" on the left side. The system shows a list of your validated domains. Click on "Display DKIM public key" to see your public key.
-
Copy that and add it to your DNS as a TXT record, following the format:
| NAME | TYPE | TTL | VALUE |
| servermx._domainkey.yourdomainname.tld. | TXT | 3600 | v=DKIM1; t=s; p=public key |
be aware that it is necessary to eliminate any whitespace from your public key string.
After adding the record to your DNS, please allow about one hour for it to be detected and activated.
Once DKIM keys are defined DMARC record can be set up.
